ANKARA, December 5 — Ankara sees no problems with the supply of American fighters F-35, although before the US Congress said about the possibility to suspend the supply of aircraft to Turkey over its plans to buy Russian anti-aircraft missile systems s-400, said the foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu
“The F-35, our President (Tayyip Erdogan) said at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires (the President of the United States, Donald) trump. Trump asked if there was any problems? We said that we want not only to buy aircraft but also to participate in their joint production. We do not see any problems with the supply of F-35, question of their abolition is not,” — said Cavusoglu, the TV channel TRT.
The U.S. Congress has previously stated that it intends to suspend the delivery of F-35 Turkey because of Ankara’s plans to purchase Russian anti-aircraft missile system s-400. The senators have made in the defense budget amendment, according to which the Ministry of defence should prepare a report assessing the potential of “significant changes” in the supply of aircraft in Turkey.
