WASHINGTON, 30 Nov — US President Donald trump and the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina and discussed the situation around North Korea and cooperation in trade, said the press Secretary of the White house Sarah Sanders.

“The two leaders reviewed the latest developments in North Korea and discussed how best to work with the international community, including their closest ally the Republic of Korea, to keep the pressure up until North Korea does not fulfill its commitments on denuclearization,” the statement says Sanders.

According to her, trump and Abe also discussed the progress in cooperation of the two countries to promote “free and open Indo-Pacific region”, as well as further steps to expand cooperation in energy and infrastructure.
