WASHINGTON, Nov 8 — the special Representative of US state Department on Iran’s Brian hook made a warning to countries that allow Iranian tankers and ships in their waters, saying the accompanying risks.
The United States imposed Monday a full-scale sanctions against the Iranian transport sector, including National Iranian tanker company. Among those who fell under the sanctions in the field of Maritime freight transportation, is the national shipping company of Iran, “the Shipping transportation of the Islamic Republic of Iran” (IRISL), oil transport giant, “the national Iranian Tanker Company” (NITC). The list also added 65 IRISL subsidiaries and related persons.
“After the sanctions against Iran have been restored, we want to warn the country about the risks of doing business with the Iranian shipping sector. If the Iranian tankers come to your ports or pass through your water, so it carries huge risks,” he told reporters.
