MOSCOW, 5 Dec — Russia is ready to continue to carry out its obligations in the framework of international agreements in the field of disarmament, but not at the cost of its national interests, said Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Bondarev.
On Tuesday, the US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo said that Washington urges Moscow to return to the implementation of the INF Treaty within two months. According to him, the US will suspend its obligations if the Russian Federation after 60 days will not return to the performance of the contract.
“All his geopolitical behavior of the United States Express unwillingness to dialogue on an equal footing. However, let me remind you that our country is not the same with which the United States signed the INF Treaty. Today’s strong, stronger Russia — a different dialogue option, except for equitable, and any other concessions, but mutual does not accept” — said Bondarev.
