“They discussed cooperation between the United States and France on resolving global issues in security, including strengthening NATO. They also explored ways of joint work of the US and France to counter the malicious behavior of Iran, the denuclearization of North Korea and to promote a political solution to the crisis in Syria,” — said the state Department.

The centenary of the First world war will be celebrated in France on Sunday, 11 November. The Forum is timed to mark the date, gather a few dozen world leaders and heads of government, held a commemorative ceremony at the arc de Triomphe and other memorial places.
