BUENOS AIRES, Dec 1 — Russia and the USA need to engage in dialogue on all difficult areas, including treaties on the elimination of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF Treaty) and the reduction of strategic offensive arms (start-3), it is important for other countries, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During a press conference on the sidelines of the G20 on Saturday, Putin said that the need for a meeting with his American counterpart overdue and is linked to issues of strategic stability, particularly in the light of the statement about the US intention to withdraw from the INF Treaty. In addition, soon to expire contract start-3, which involved the most serious weapon of a strategic nature, recalled the Russian leader.
“Besides, earlier we talked about the need to restore trade and economic relations, cooperation in other areas, including hot spots such as Syria, Afghanistan, North Korea is also a big problem for everyone.
