MOSCOW, 4 Dec — the world’s Largest hotel chain Marriott International announced its readiness to compensate victims of data breach the cost of the new passports, says the Agency MarketWatch.
“If… we determine that there was fraud, then the company will reimburse the hotel costs associated with obtaining a new passport,” — said the Agency representative of the company.
Marriott, which includes Starwood, said Friday that 19 Nov fixed “unauthorized access” to the database of guests. The company believes that it holds data of about 500 million guests who booked Starwood hotels. The data on 327 million visitors included the names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, passport details, date of birth, gender, data on entry and exit.
