MOSCOW, 4 Dec — the South Korean small satellite of the new generation made contact with the ground through 80 minutes after launch, the Falcon 9 rocket, reported the Ministry of science and technology of the Republic of Korea.
“Small satellite of the new generation-1″ approximately 80 minutes after launch successfully contacted the Norwegian ground station Svalbard located in the Arctic. After 100 minutes after the first was received second signal,” — said in a press release of the Ministry.
It is expected that the first three months the satellite will operate in trial mode, after which work in a normal mode. Then within two years it will collect data about the dependence of the radiation in space and plasma from the solar flares.
