MOSCOW, 9 Nov – the Union of German machine builders (VDMA) has condemned the decision of the International interbank system of information transfer and Commission of payments (SWIFT) about the disconnection of Iranian banks from the structure, and cautioned against the application of such measures against Russia, reports Bloomberg.
On Monday, SWIFT announced the decision to suspend the access of some Iranian banks to the data exchange system.
“SWIFT is the basis of international payments. Any, even the most minor interference in the neutrality of the system operation is unacceptable. Today Iran, tomorrow Russia, then China?” — said the head of the Association Thilo brodtmann Executive.
