WASHINGTON, 5 Dec – the US state Department has accused Russia of “lies and obfuscation” when discussing the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF Treaty).
As noted in the statement of the American foreign Ministry from September 2014 on the initiative of the United States was held five meetings of technical experts, including two meetings of the special Commission on verification of the authority responsible for the decision of problems in the performance of the contract.
“At each of these meetings, the United States put pressure on Russia in connection with its missiles that violate (the agreement – ed.) and urged her to return to compliance, emphasizing the critical nature of our concerns. These actions were met with denial, obfuscation and false”, — reads the statement of the state Department. According to the Ministry, Russia has not initiated meetings with US experts on this subject.
