The state Department believes that the Nagorno-Karabakh talks progress

BAKU, 10 Oct – Deputy assistant Secretary of state for Europe and Eurasia George Kent believes that the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, there has been progress.

“Azerbaijan is interested in peaceful settlement of the conflict. During the visit, we stressed the progress achieved in recent years in the conflict resolution process, including a meeting of foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in new York and will meet President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinian in Dushanbe,” said Kent in a press conference in Baku.

As one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group, the U.S. takes seriously its obligations to resolve the conflict based on Madrid principles, said Kent.
