BRUSSELS, 5 Nov – a Response to U.S. extraterritorial sanctions should be measures to strengthening of positions of Euro in international payments, said Monday the Minister of economy and Finance of France Bruno Le Mayor.
“We need to strengthen the role of the Euro in the international arena. The decisions were announced by France, Germany and great Britain in response to extraterritorial U.S. sanctions are a way to say that we want to strengthen our common currency, want to be sovereign and free”, — he told reporters in Brussels.
“In the long term we want to make the Euro one of the reference international currency. For this, Europe needs more solidarity and investment,” — said Le Mayor.
