MOSCOW, 8 Okt — Moscow could not confirm the words of the United States on reducing strategic offensive arms to the level established by Article II of the Treaty, said in the comments of the Department of information and press of the Russian foreign Ministry.
It said that Moscow drew attention to the published by the U.S. Department of state data on the total number of U.S. strategic offensive arms as of September 1, 2018. The Russian foreign Ministry pointed out that in applying the American side, the data “needs to testify about the US withdrawal on the levels set by Article II of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States of America on measures for the further reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms (start Treaty)”.
“We can’t confirm such a statement,” — said in comments published on the foreign Ministry website.
