WASHINGTON, 9 Oct — the United States believes that China and Russia could do more for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, told reporters at a briefing state Department spokesman Heather Nauert.
“In China we have said publicly and in private discussions that they are committed to the denuclearization of North Korea (DPRK). They recognize the importance of this issue. We do not believe that they are retreating (from this position — ed.)”, she said. The state Department spokesperson added that “countries, including China and Russia, can do more.”
The twelfth of June, Singapore hosted the first ever summit of the leaders of the United States and the DPRK. American President Donald trump and the Chairman of the state Council of the DPRK Kim Jong-UN agreed to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the cessation of hostility. However, while differences in opinion remain who should make the first move and how far.
