The U.S. ballistic missile medium-range Pershing-2
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow will have to meet the mirror in the case of the supply of new U.S. missiles in Europe. So the head of state commented on the possible US withdrawal from the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF Treaty).
“As for Europe, of course, the most important question, if the United States withdraws from the Treaty the INF Treaty, the most important question – what will they do with these newly emerging missiles,” – said the President.
Putin said that in the case of the supply of us missiles in Europe who agree with this country set its own territory under the threat of possible retaliation. He noted that thus “we return to the situation with the “Pershing” (medium-range missile) in Europe.”
