BRUSSELS, 4 December — NATO Allies are committed to maintaining an effective international control over arms, is ready for constructive relations with Russia, where possible, said in a statement on the situation with the INF Treaty, after talks between the foreign Ministers of the Alliance in Brussels.
“The allies are firmly committed to maintaining an effective international arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation. Therefore, we will continue to support and strengthen arms control as a key element of Euro-Atlantic security taking into account the current situation in the sphere of security,” the statement said.
“We remain committed to a constructive relationship with Russia, when Russia’s actions make it possible. As was recently confirmed at the Brussels summit, we remain open for dialogue with Russia, including in the Council Russia-NATO”, — stated in it.
