MOSCOW, Nov 9 — Major U.S. stock indexes on Thursday fell mostly on the background of the outcome of the meeting of the Federal reserve system (FRS), according to the auction and comments of experts.
Dow Jones industrial average edged up 0.04% to 26191,22 points, the index high-tech NASDAQ companies — 0.53%, to 7530,89 points, the index of wide market S&P 500 lost 0.25 percent, amounting to 2806,83 points.
The U.S. Federal reserve at the end of the meeting, November 7-8, kept its benchmark interest rate at the level of 2-2. 25% per annum. The decision coincided with forecasts of analysts.
